Low Voltage Switchgear Withdrawable Switchgear

This withdrawable low voltage switchgear is a type-tested assembly to IEC 61439, rated AC400V/690V and built for main busbars up to 6300A. Each functional unit sits in its own compartment, so you can withdraw a feeder or a motor starter and replace it without shutting down the rest of the plant. Fixed and withdrawable versions share the same C-profile frame, which keeps spares and future extension straightforward. Standard degree of protection is IP30 to IP40, with IP54 available for dusty or humid sites.

Overview

The switchgear is a low voltage assembly built to IEC 61439, with a rated insulation voltage of AC690V and a rated operating voltage of AC400V. The main busbar carries up to 6300A and withstands 50kA or 80kA for one second, depending on the configuration you specify. Cabinets are assembled from galvanised C-profile steel with 25 mm module mounting holes, so a PC cabinet, an MCC cabinet and a power factor correction cabinet can be combined in one lineup using the same frame. Functional units are withdrawable, which means a faulty feeder can be taken out and replaced while the rest of the board stays energised.

Operating Conditions

  • Ambient air temperature: -5°C to +40°C; 24h average ≤ +35°C.

  • Atmosphere: Clean air; ≤50% RH at +40°C, ≤90% RH at +20°C; occasional condensation allowed.

  • Altitude: ≤2000m.Transport/storage temperature: -25°C to +55°C; short-term up to +70°C (≤24h) with no permanent damage.Unmet conditions require user-manufacturer negotiation.

  • When the device is used on offshore oil drilling platforms and nuclear power plants, a separate technical agreement shall be signed

Product Features

  • Modular frame

The cabinet is assembled from standardised C-profile components, so the lineup can be extended or rearranged on site.

  • Busbar rating

Main busbars are electrolytic copper, rated up to 6300A and type-tested for a 50kA or 80kA one-second withstand current.

  • Operator safety

Every functional unit sits in a separate compartment with a mechanical interlock, so the door cannot be opened while the unit is in the connected position.

  • Compartment density

Drawer modules are 25 mm modular, which fits more starters into the same footprint without reducing maintenance clearance.

  • Load control

The compensation and control sections are separated from the distribution section, so switching one does not disturb the other.

  • Circuit identification

Each feeder is labelled at the front, matching the drawing set, which shortens fault-finding during a shutdown window.

  • Enclosure finish

Door and side panels are degreased, phosphated and powder coated, which resists cement dust and coastal humidity.

Degree of protection

In line with IEC 60529 and DIN 40050.

IP30: protected against solid objects larger than 2.5 mm.

IP40: protected against solid objects larger than 1.0 mm.

IP54: dust protected and resistant to water splashes from any direction.(IP54 is available on request.)

Cabinet structure

The frame is a C-profile assembly in steel plate, with 25 mm module mounting holes. All cabinets and inner partitions are galvanised. Door and side panels are finished with high voltage electrostatic powder coating.

Cabinet types

Power distribution centre cabinet (PC): fits main circuit breakers with a frame rating up to 4000 A.

Motor control centre cabinet (MCC): built from drawer modules in standard sizes. Each circuit uses a moulded-case circuit breaker or a fuse-switch disconnector.

Power factor correction cabinet: available with manual, automatic or remote control.
