Overview
Molded case residual current circuit breaker (hereinafter referred to as residual current operated circuit breaker) is suitable for AC 50Hz, rated voltage up to 400V, in circuits with rated current from 16A to 800A. Its main function is to provide indirect contact protection against fatal electric shock to personnel. Residual current operated circuit breakers with rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA can also serve as supplementary protection for direct contact when other protective measures fail, but cannot be used as the sole direct contact protection. Meanwhile, it can also be used to prevent electrical fires caused by contact fault currents. It can also be used to protect circuits from overload and short circuit, and as infrequent switching of circuits.
Product Features
With three-stage protection (LSI) featuring adjustable actuation current and time, self-powered operation: Provides adjustable Long-time (L), Short-time (S), and Instantaneous (I) protection with configurable actuation current and time settings, powered by its own source.
Users can set and adjust the trip unit according to load current requirements: Allows users to configure the trip unit settings based on specific load current demands.
With pre-alarm indication and overload indication: Equipped with a pre-alarm warning function and a clear overload indication.
Features a fire protection mode where overload triggers alarm only without tripping: Includes a dedicated function for fire service applications where overload conditions activate an alarm only without causing the breaker to trip.
A handheld dedicated tester is provided for user convenience in detecting circuit breaker parameters: Comes with a portable, specialized tester to facilitate easy checking and verification of circuit breaker parameters for users.
Applicable Working Environment and Installation Conditions:
The altitude of the installation site shall not exceed 2,000m.
The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40°C and shall not be lower than -5°C, with a 24-hour average value not exceeding 35°C (unless otherwise specified in special orders).
The relative air humidity at the installation site shall not exceed 50% at the maximum temperature of +40°C. At lower temperatures, higher relative humidity is permissible, e.g., up to 90% at 20°C. Special measures shall be taken against occasional condensation due to temperature variations.
For tropicalized circuit breakers, the relative air humidity shall not exceed 95% at ±25°C.
Pollution Degree: Level 3.
The installation category of the main circuit of the circuit breaker is Category III, while auxiliary and control circuits not connected to the main circuit are Category II.
Tropicalized circuit breakers shall withstand the effects of humidity, salt mist, and mold.
The circuit breaker shall be installed in locations free from explosion hazards, conductive dust, and conditions that may corrode metals or cause insulation damage.
It shall be installed in places without exposure to rain or snow.
The circuit breaker shall be installed in accordance with the product's instruction manual.
